Daughter of conference founder, Kathy Grant, Katalina is 13 years
old and has a passion for her flute, piano and singing. She has
played in her Grade 8 Concert Band and the Grade 9 Junior Band;
she has traveled to Toronto and Kingston, Ontario to participate in
Band competitions where she played the flute solo and received a
Bronze rating.
Katalina has worked with KGM Enterprises and held the position of
Artist Assistant, working with the Stage Managers and artists to
facilitate a smooth transition from floor to stage. Katalina loves
Gospel music and is interested in helping educate others about the
genre.
She demonstrated this by profiling her mother in a class project,
which resulted in a live performance by Kathy for Katalina’s
classmates and teacher. Katalina’s role with the conference is to
work with other youth who want to volunteer their time for the
benefit of this First-of-it’s-kind Conference in Canada.
